On Letting Go

We’re climbers. The last thing we want to do is let go.

Letting go might be exactly what we need to move forward. What does that even mean? You’ve probably heard athletes talk about “not caring” so much or “keeping it fun.” What they’re really doing is letting go of the outcome (in this case). It’s not actually not caring nor trying to laugh but still silently obsessing. Simply put, it means we stop fixating on what’s out of our control - like outcomes..

NEVER let go of the wall, but do let go of needing an outcome too much. It’s important to believe the outcome you want can happen, but not that it must happen.

More to come on letting go…

Anything you can’t control is teaching you to let go - Jackson Kiddard
